Thanko FMP3, an FM+MP3 USB Watch!

01 Oct, 2006, 10:00 am IST | by Aalaap Ghag | PMPs

Sony Ericsson and Fossil may have taken all of the gadget press yesterday, but Thanko is not to be left behind.

Sure, you can talk with the SE Fossil watch, but can you beam MP3s from it to your car stereo? Thanko's FMP3 is an FM radio tuner as well as a transmitter and an MP3 player, like an iTrip built into your iPod built into your watch! Comes with a roomy 1 GB of storage so you don't have to listen to just 10 songs on your way to work, and USB 2.0 drag-and-dump support. $143 (Rs 6,500) for the 1 GB one, or if that's a little too much for a watch that looks like a fake Tag, $109 (Rs 5,000) for the 512 MB one. I'll wait a while for Thanko to do a TwinCept-style LCD display with ID3 support on top of a dial, if you ask me.
