Transcend MP330 Music Player Offers FLAC Support for Cheap

21 Feb, 2011, 6:11 pm IST | by Sriram Gurunathan | PMPs

Transcend today announced the launch of their new MP330 lineup of Digital Audio Players. These DAPs seem to have arrived a week late, taking into account they’re considered a good "gift for your loved ones" and are all… wait for it… pink. Transcend believe they’re a "definite eye-candy and a must-have for users with expressive personal tastes and active lifestyles." Surprisingly, the MP330s support FLAC playback, along with MP3, WMA, WAV and even WMA-DRM10 protected files. They will also feature seven EQ presets and a user-customizable setting as well.

The MP330 comes in three capacity variations – 2GB, 4GB and 8GB (usable as a pendrive thanks to direct USB pluggability) – which are priced at Rs. 2,500, Rs. 2,599 and Rs. 3,415 respectively. While that sounds like a great price for a player with FLAC support, how it really performs is what I want to know.
