A new concept called ‘xplore n' shop’ is in the pipeline in Mumbai. Bookstore Crossword at Inorbit mall already has an outlet where consumers can lounge around, sample tech products like MP3 players, gaming accessories, gadgets and gizmos and buy them off the shelf. Talks are on for expanding to other franchise outlets in the city, as well as setting up of independent outlets in the near future. Mumbai's Lamington Road, home to India’s first technology lounge by Neoteric, was witness to an array of tech events last week. Intel organized the Core 2 duo event on 8th & 9th Sept at xplore, the Digital Life Style Lounge. Here, Intel core 2 duo based PCs were loaded with games like Need For Speed, Track Mania, FIFA for a gaming competition, which offered an opportunity for retailers to test the Intel core 2 duo performance. |
