Zebronics today announced the launch of their STEM Digital Audio Player. This MP3 player will use microSD cards of capacities upto 16GB as its primary mode of storage. With five keys on the face of the player for navigation, a power button and USB port on the side and a built-in lithium-ion battery, the STEM is a rather tiny piece of hardware. It will interact with your PC via the USB 2.0 interface and can be used as a pen drive, if you are so inclined. What about the Xylem and Phloem? When contacted, Zebronics said the STEM would not have any internal storage and will not be bundled with any microSD cards at all. Customers will have to procure them separately. Headphones, however, will be bundled – though just how "high-quality" they are is something that’s left to be seen. The STEM is available in four colours and has a street price of Rs. 425. |
