Tech2 is currently at Computex 2012 and we’re seeing a range of interesting products from various manufacturers around the world. One that particularly caught our eye was AzureWave’s ButterStream W2 pico projector. This mini projector is built on Google’s Android operating system and comes with integrated Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, allowing flexible, handy and effective wireless, sharing of media as well as documents streamed over the Internet. The ButterStream W2 has a lightweight and compact footprint and has the capability to project an image size of up to 120 inches, which is pretty impressive. From what can be seen of the device, it comes with a concise design with a brushed metal finish and a couple of connectivity options, along the sides. ![]() Android on a projector!
Here’s what the available spec sheet for the ButterStream W2 looks like:
The ButterStream W2 has a variety of inputs and includes various memory card formats that make it an easy portable multimedia system of sorts. This pico projector may well be one of the few projectors running on Android and though we don’t have a hands-on of the device yet, it looks like an interesting proposition. What’s also a part of the device is the implemented optical finger navigation technology that lets you manouever your way. Along with a USB 2.0 port, SD card slot, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth your connectivity options are pretty well taken care of.
We’ve seen a range of interesting products out here at Computex 2012, and we’re going to have them up soon, so stay tuned to this space. Till then, a pocket projector running Android, what say? |
