Casio announce their first shock-resistant, waterproof digital camera. The EX-G1 can be used 10 feet underwater for about an hour. Casio claims that water will not penetrate the camera even when directly sprayed with jets of water from every direction. The EX-G1 is capable of withstanding temperatures as low as 14 degrees Fahrenheit. EX-G1 has been designed and created with a shock-resistant shell which passed multiple drops from a height of seven feet. It captures images at resolutions of 12.1 megapixels and features interval shooting and multi-image capture. The interval shooting function can automatically take still photos or movies at fixed intervals, enabling users to capture great shots while engaged in active sports. Priced at $299 USD the camera will hit shelves in December ’09. Price and release date for India is not yet available.
