Fujifilm launches the FinePix SL300 in India at Rs. 19,499

Fujifilm, over the last couple of months, have been launching a variety of cameras that sport above average optical zoom capabilities. Building up on the brand’s superzoom camera portfolio, Fujifilm launched the FinePix SL300 in India at Rs. 19,499. The brand claims that you can capture objects and scenic beauty magnificently with Fujifilm’s new FinePix SL300, a cool, trendy high-powered premium bridge camera that comes equipped with a 30x optical zoom.

Following the tradition of Fujifilm’s popular S-series cameras, FinePix SL 300 offers similar image quality and versatility to that of a DSLR combined with the convenience and portability of a compact camera. It is a proper bridge camera that a keen photographer can use instead of a DSLR kit. The brand states that because of its chic look, this model is designed for the younger generation.

FinePixSL300 features a 14 megapixel CCD sensor with sensor-shift image stabilization, a 30x optical zoom with a focal range of 24-720mm, 720p HD video at 30fps, a bright 3-inch 460,000 dot LCD screen, faster start-up, improved auto-focus speed and an upgraded response time.

Fujifilm states that the highlight of the new FinePix SL300 is the Fujinon optical zoom lenses, which offer a high-quality 30x optical zoom. The extended zoom range makes the SL300 ideal for travellers looking to record their adventures, sports fans keen to capture their teams on camera or any photographer looking for a step-up from their current compact camera.

With a close-focus distance of 2cm, users can also capture precise close-up details whereas the normal macro mode can close in to around 7cm. The zoom lens offers smooth zooming and precise framing of scenes, and with the addition of a zoom lever on the barrel of the lens, photographers are able to zoom in and out without taking their hands away from the camera.
