Pentax Launches the K100D

Pentax Corporation has introduced the Pentax K100D lens-interchangeable digital SLR (D-SLR) camera. The new Pentax K100D combines 6.1 effective megapixels with a host of advanced technologies, including a Pentax original Shake Reduction (SR) system, to deliver high-quality D-SLR photography and user-friendly operations to all levels of photographers.
The Shake Reduction (SR) system effectively reduces camera shake for sharp, blur-free images even under difficult shooting conditions, such as using a telephoto lens, shooting in the dark or at night without supplementary flash illumination, or using extended exposures for sunset scenes.
The Pentax K100D makes high-quality D-SLR photography effortless, fun and exciting for all users in all situations, from casual travel snapshots and memorable family pictures to highly specialized applications. All together, the Pentax K-100D is a versatile all-around performer for all levels of photographers, from current digital-compact camera users who want to step up to D-SLR photography, to more experienced, discriminating photographers.
