Archos Launches 704-WiFi PMP

Portable multimedia legend Archos has just upped the volume of the PMP face off a bit with their new 704-WiFi player, their latest in the Generation 4 series. The 704-WiFi offers a high-resolution, wide aspect, 16 million color 800x480 screen that’s quite large at 7 inches, and is also touch sensitive. The 704-WiFi has an 80GB hard drive built in, which amounts to approximately 100 hours of video or upto 70 DVD-quality movies on the go. The player also supports downloading of content from online stores. The 704-WiFi supports WiFi 802.11g and connects wirelessly to PCs to browse and play music, movies and photos on the handheld. The player also connects to the TV to let you play the media there. It also supports USB for wired connectivity to the PC. The 704-WiFi is available online for pre-order at $549.99 (around Rs. 24,500). It should be in stores by mid-March. |
