01 Sep, 2008, 1:52 pm IST | by Shayne Rana | PMPs

Cowon is certainly making the scene with a range of new large screen PMPs. We already saw 3 new players revealed at IFA that included the S9 Curve, the L3 and the O2. It seems like that wasn’t enough as a new PMP - The P5 was showcased on their Korean site.

The P5, according to the spec on the site will have a 5-inch touch screen sporting a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels and 18 million colors. It’ll be available in 60GB and 80GB capacities, so users will have no storage issues for their videos or music. Bluetooth is also a feature that comes in-built. The P5 will be capable of reading DivX, Xvid, MPEG4 and WMV and will also feature a TV-Out option. Other media capabilities include a DMB tuner and an FM radio with a recorder. It doesn’t have Wi-fi as a built-in feature but you can opt for a USB Dongle that will enable the P5 to go Wi-fi. The PMP runs on Windows CE 5.0 OS.

The official pricing or availability of the Cowon P5 PMP has not yet been revealed.
