Toshiba Shows Off Portable DVD Player

04 Oct, 2006, 3:15 pm IST | Aalaap Ghag | PMPs

Toshiba is showing off a new 'hybrid' portable DVD player and media player at CEATEC, which not only plays DVDs on its 16:9 widescreen TFT, but also tunes in to 1Seg digital TV, which is of course only in Japan. It looks very similar to the Mitashi portable DVD player that you get right now (thanks to the black casing), but that's all the comparison I'm going to make.

The DVD player *seems* to have a model number SD-P500T (the picture isn't too clear in that part), and it might contain any or all of the following features that are available existing SD-P series DVD players: a 9-inch widescreen display, DivX Home Theater certification, WMA/MP3 playback support, JPEG photo support, a 4-in-1 card slot, audio/video RCA outputs and a remote control.

There's not much to read, but click here for more info.
