At Sony's conference during E3 today, they showed off a brand new two-part motion controller via a plethora of tech demos. This system (that's due next year) uses two fluorescent-tipped wands that act as two separate hands, and is tracked by a camera. What I loved about the controller, is that unlike the Wii it offers an insane amount of precision that lets you do crazy stuff, such as build things using the full motion of your hand to revolve, move and pan the controller with the complete motion of your hands. Out of the demos they showed, a really awesome archery and sparring one shone above the rest, showing great potential for this new technology. |
