PS3 Firmware 2.40 Muck-ups Fixed

The issues with last week's buggy PS3 2.40 firmware update (that required a few to format their hard drive to fix) have finally been fixed and the update’s all ready to download. This is what Eric Lempel, Director, PlayStation Network Operations, has to say on the PlayStation Blog - As many of you know, we released PS3 firmware update v2.40 last week, but had to take it offline temporarily because, for a limited number of users, the XMB wouldn’t display after the update was installed. We’ve been able to fix the problem, and I’m happy to report that firmware update v2.41 will be released shortly. We want to extend our apologies to the PlayStation community for any inconvenience. The update’s all ready to download as of now, so if you’re one of the people who’ve suffered from the effects of the 2.40 firmware, I suggest you update as soon as you go online. |
