Epson Releases Entry-level A4 Scanner

This one's for the .cbr file junkies. Epson has released a lightweight, hassle-free, entry-level A4 scanner, called the Perfection V30. Weighing in at 2.2 kilograms and measuring 41mm in height, the Epson Perfection V30 scanner has an optical resolution of 4800dpi and 48-bit color depth.

It incorporates the energy-efficient ReadyScan LED Technology which is environmentally friendly as the ReadyScan LEDs contain no mercury, have low power consumption and heat dissipation and virtually no warm up time.

There are presets with Copy, Start, Scan-to-Email, and Scan-to-PDF functions for most common scanning tasks. Users may customize these buttons through Epson Event Manager to suit personal preferences.

There is also a software included that offers various goodies for the visual tweaker, like Backlight correction, Color Restoration technology, Dust Removal Tools etc. Documents can be compressed into PDF files and mailed around.

Attractively priced at Rs. 4,999, the Epson Perfection V30 scanner is available from December 2008.
