| In what could develop into a very serious matter for Google US District Judge Jeremy Fogel said he's considering issuing an order that would allow KinderStart.com to amend its lawsuit against Google to add more specifics and detailed charges against Google. The directory and search engine site had filed a case in which it claimed Google violated antitrust and other laws by bumping KinderStart down to low rankings. KinderStart says that its engine site suffered an approximate 70 percent drop in monthly traffic in March last year after Google literally buried its visibility in search results. KinderStart, also claimed to have been in the first 10 results when Web users searched on the Internet earlier in the same year. KinderStart also noted that it saw an 80 percent drop in AdSense revenue. "What Google is trying to do is take out the competition," said Gregory Yu, KinderStart's attorney has been quoted as saying The case accuses Google of having engaged in anticompetitive behavior in violation of antitrust laws by removing a competitor from its top search pages in order to maintain its own dominance in the search market. |
