| Microsoft has just launched beta versions of Windows Live Search and the new search homepage, Live.com in 33 new markets, for Asians. The service, which promises to be the “one place for news, search, mail and more” is launched with a new user friendly interface, new organizational tools and integrates with all windows live services, like the new Windows Live Instant Messenger. Live.com is introduced as a customizable search home page for Windows Live, which includes extensive search categories and the ability to add persistent search results to the Live.com home page. Plans to include a local search category are on the anvil, along with additional Windows Live services. Moreover, image search on the site has easy to use features, smart scroll, thumbnail-image-sizing customization and filmstrip view. Consumers can also create multiple pages depending on their interests and add their favorite news, photos, weather content, RSS feeds and even preview of their mailbox. The beta version of live.com is available at http://www.live.com while Indian users can log on at www.live.co.in. |
