Nikon Launches New D5000 DSLR

Camera enthusiasts and Nikon prosumers have a new DSLR to add to their wishlist now with the launch of the new D5000. Right after Nikon India launched 8 new cameras just last week, Nikon USA unveiled the new 12.3 megapixel D5000 which also boasts HD video recording capabilities. Other features include:

 Rumor has it that Nikon India will be launching the D5000 on local shores by late May 2009, but as of now, the D5000 will be available in the US by late April 2009. The estimated US price is $729.95 for the body and $849.95 for the body plus the AF-S NIKKOR 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G VR lens. Update: We have confirmed news from Nikon India that the D5000 would launch in May 2009 in India. |
