BlackBerry's Upcoming Bold 9800 Flaunts OS 6.0

The BlackBerry Bold 9800 is going to be RIM’s very first QWERTY slider handset. It seems like they’re experimenting with all the various form factors in the mobile business and it’s only a matter of time before might see a Storm 3 with a slide out QWERTY keypad as well. But for now the up coming 9800, that hasn’t been officially announced just yet is making big waves showing off the latest OS version 6.0.

The handset is going to feature -
  • a 3.2-inch touchscreen with a 360 x 480 pixel resolution
  • 3G, EDGE, Wi-Fi
  • GPS with A-GPS (please let there be Indian maps when it gets here)
  • Bluetooth 2.1 with A2DP and USB 2.0 (micro)
  • 3.5mm handsfree socket
The camera’s resolution seems to be one bit of information that has not been revealed just yet. In addition to the ones listed, the Bold 9800 also has an optical trackpad for navigation and an accelerometer with a virtual keypad as well just in case you still don’t think a BlackBerry should ever be a slider.

But the big deal right now is that the handset is already running on the latest BlackBerry OS 6.0 and it’s looking good. Engadget’s got a hands on preview of the new handset running the new OS, take a look.
