Could This Be The Next Xperia Handset?

The Xperia made plenty of waves before its launch and even when it first hit the shelves and then suddenly took a back seat to the other handsets that stole the limelight. However it’s time for Sony Ericsson’s Xperia to make a comeback in a sequel that simply be called the Vulcan or X2 for now. An image of the handset has made its very first appearance. There’s no hard evidence that this is an actual image of the handset of course. It still seems to be equipped with a large touchscreen and slide out QWERTY keyboard. Reports are saying that the handset could possibly be running on a Windows Mobile 6.5 edition. All of this is speculation of course and we’ll just have to wait and see what comes up. In the movie biz most sequels haven’t fared as well as the originals, we know this, but when it comes to mobiles, second editions and upgrades do tend to do little better most of the time. We can only hope the Xperia 2 will fare the same. Stay tuned. |
