LG's Shine Goes Wooden

30 Oct, 2007, 5:43 pm IST | Shayne Rana | Smartphones

At first glance you may think LG decided to follow today’s trend for natural products when it designed this mobile phone. But take another look and you'll see the device is not made of wood after all – it only looks like it is. The phone is actually encased in a faux wood-like finish.

The Shine Wood – that’s the official name – is called the LG LB-2500H in Korea. This flip phone has a 2 megapixel camera, MP3 player, Bluetooth, and support for a memory card. The display is 2.2 inches, with 262K colors, but the resolution hasn't been revealed yet.

Rumor has it that the LG Shine Wood will be launched in Korea soon, and should cost around 362 Euro (Rs 20,500). Stay tuned.
