Froyo is out for the Nexus One and MOTO doesn’t want to be left behind. The latest scoop is that Motorola is planning on releasing both the Droid 2 and the newly announced Droid X with Froyo aka Android 2.2. Originally they were to run on Android 2.1 but that’s history now. It’s also been reported that the Droid 2 will also feature an updated version of MOTOBLUR, the company’s proprietary social networking enhanced UI. Like the Droid X, the Droid 2 will also be a CDMA device and would be available for about $199 (with a 2 year contract). There's no word on the new MILESTONE XT270 coming with Froyo though. But considering it's announcement was just recent it's quiet possible that would also feature 2.2. |
