HTC’s new Cavalier is the upgrade to the HTC Excalibur—also known as the T-Mobile Dash. The new Cavalier comes with 3G, WCDMA, UMTS and HSDPA support, along with GSM, GPRS, EDGE, WiFi 802.11b/g, Bluetooth 2.0 and miniUSB. The Windows Mobile 5.0-powered device is physically no different from the Excalibur / Dash, but the Cavalier has a 400MHz Samsung processor processor as opposed to the 200MHz TI OMAP on the Excalibur. The memory is the same—64MB RAM and 128MB ROM – and so is the microSD memory card slot. The camera is now 2 megapixels (up from the 1.3 on the Ex) and the battery has been increased in capacity to 1050mAh, just 90 more than the Excalibur. It’s unknown at this time if T-Mobile will pick this up and what price they will make it available for. Read more at SoloPalmari.com. |
