Despite measures for stricter telecom security, the Indian Internal Security Chief U.K. Bansal said that there are no plans to ban Blackberry in India yet. The Indian government had made demands to Blackberry to allow screening of encrypted Blackberry messages and emails threatening to ban the device if the company didn't comply, however, currently the two entities are seeking another resolution.
