| by Naina Khedekar | Smartphones

Several Android fans are hoping to get the new Ice Cream Sandwich upgrade, but there hasn’t been any concrete news on the list of devices in the queue to get a scoop of this latest version of the Android operating system. But, here's some good news for a few HTC owners as the Taiwanese manufacturer has confirmed that about 16 company smartphones will be getting the highly anticipated ICS upgrade in the coming months, reports NDTV Gadgets.

Apparently, HTC has a lot happening on the ICS front. ICS was released alongside the iOS 5, and it now comes with several improvements and a facelift. Recently, we saw a leaked HTC smartphone with some high-end specs, like 1.2GHz Snapdragon processor, 1GB RAM and 4G connectivity. Not to forget, the HTC Ville was also spotted running the Ice Cream Sandwich and Sense 4.0. This smartphone, too has a powerful spec sheet that shows off a 4.3-inch qHD touchscreen, 1.5GHz dual-core processor and 8 MP rear camera that supports 1080p video capture. The company is also said to have started rolling out Android 4.0 updates for Sensation and Sensation XE users in select countries, while other regions will follow soon.

If you’ve used any of Samsung’s flagships in the past, you’ll be right at home with the new S4. We quite liked the handset during our brief encounter with it a few weeks back and after using it for about a week, we have come to like it even more.
