Not quite the Asus Aura, but this new smartphone from Asus is still pretty polished looking. One of the early birds to come out of 3GSM, the Aries doesn't do HSDPA, but it does run Windows Mobile 6 and hangs on to UMTS. The phone has a landscape aspect QVGA screen, but it isn't touch-sensitive, so it will run Windows Mobile 6 Standard. It has a full QWERTY keypad that looks mighty comfortable from here. The tri-band UMTS phone comes with a 2 megapixel primary camera and a secondary camera for video calling. The device has 256MB of ROM, 64MB of RAM and a microSD memory expansion slot. It supports Bluetooth as well as WiFi b/g. |
