Samsung is showing off two smartphones at 3GSM: the Series 60-powered i520 and the Windows Mobile-powered i600. The i520 is a slim slider that runs the latest Symbian OS v9.2 Series 60 3rd Edition Feature Pack 1 (FP1). It has a 2 megapixel camera as well as a secondary VGA camera for video calling. The phone supports HSDPA networks, while maintaining GPRS, EDGE and UMTS radios. Being S60 3rd Ed, it naturally has a full HTML browser, which would look great on the 2.3-inch, landscape aspect, 262k color QVGA screen. It supports Bluetooth 2.0 with EDR as well as A2DP, USB 2.0 and a microSD memory card slot. The Ultra Messaging i600, also known as the Blackjack, is a Windows Mobile 5.0-powered Smartphone that's just 11.8mm thin. It supports HSDPA and UMTS, too. It has video telephony support with a secondary VGA camera, while the primary camera is 1.3 megapixels. It has a full QWERTY keypad, a QVGA display, 64MB of RAM, 128MB of ROM and a microSD memory card slot. It has support for Bluetooth 2.0 EDR (with A2DP), WiFi 802.11b/g and USB, though just 1.1. |
