So what if the BlackBerry Z10 isn’t doing as well as it was expected to? That isn’t going to stop the Canadian company from releasing a Porsche version of the smartphone soon. Images of the crossover device have already leaked and it seems like it’s only a matter of time before the phone is released.
A sleek metal design
The leaked images by Tinhte.ve show the handset manufacturer will be making subtle changes to the BlackBerry Z10’s design to make it fit the stylish Porsche mould. The bottom panel of the phone is a lot more egg-shaped in the new version of the Z10 and the top panel comes with the Porsche engraving on the metal frame. Below the front panel is the front-facing camera.
The back of the phone looks sleek and has a top panel that contains the rear camera and the single LED flash of the phone. The back panel of the phone is removable and you will find the battery and slots for a SIM card as well as a microSD card for expandable memory. The phone will apparently sport a unique UI, which will not look like the stock BB10 OS.
From the back
The Porsche variety of the BlackBerry Z10 will be joining the original BlackBerry Porsche Design P'9981 phone that was revealed back in 2011. The P’9981 was a redesigned version of the BlackBerry Bold 9000 and cost a cool $2,000 (Rs 1.39 lakh in India). While not a lot has been revealed about the BlackBerry Z10 Porsche design, it’s pretty certain that it will be upwards of the $2,000 figure that the P’9981 sported. The material with which the BlackBerry Z10 Porsche design will be built with will obviously be of a premium quality and will therefore demand a high price. If you do have the money and wish to make a style statement, this is the phone release you should be looking out for.
