Dual-battery iBall Andi 4.3j smartphone launched for Rs 9,499

The year 2012 appears to be a great year for iBall as it has launched a plethora of handsets designed for varied audiences. Building on that momentum, iBall has added a new handset to its smartphone line-up called the iBall Andi 4.3j. Like the iBall Andi 5c in which iBall introduced a smartphone with a phablet design, the latest offering has the unique feature of having a dual battery. The company states that this is the first of its kind to be launched in India.

The smartphone features a 4.3-inch display equipped with a full capacitive touch interface. It also offers video calling on 3G networks. As far as the technical specifications are concerned, the iBall Andi 4.3j features a 1GHz Cortex A9 processor, Wi-Fi, GPRS, EDGE, GPS, AGPS and Bluetooth with A2DP+ EDR.
 
This handset may be best suited for frequent travellers and gamers as they need worry about battery life. The dual batteries – 1630mAh and 900mAh -- provide a total output of 2530mAh. Apart from travelling and games, this handset can be ideal for Internet browsing as well.
 
This gadget apart from above features has dual-SIM capabilities with dual standby and a gravity sensor. To automatically adjust the brightness of the screen back-light it has a light sensor along with proximity sensor both these features help to save and improve battery life.
 
The iBall Andi 4.3j is priced at Rs 9,499.
 
Commenting on the launch of Andi 4.3j, Sandeep Parasrampuria, Director, iBall said, “We are excited to launch for the first time in India a dual Battery smart phone. Battery backup is the major problem to the smart phone users. Realizing the high utility of smart phones, long hour chatting and longer browsing we have launched this stylish dual battery phone to provide unhindered and seamless usage.”

iBall has recently launched the iBall Andi 5c in India. It works on the Android v4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). The company claims that it has above-average performance due to the 1GHz cortex A9 processor. Built-in GPS, 3G with HSUPA 5.76Mbps, HSDPA 7.2Mbps, and a battery of 2300mAh provides the user with ample time for talking and gaming with every charge. The phone is also equipped with G-sensor, proximity sensor and light sensor.
