Fring Now Allows Skype Video Calls, Nokia Handsets First

Fring only recently released their Android application and they’ve now launched the service for Nokia handsets that enable users to make video calls using Fring. The very first mobile video call over internet was just made through Skype on Fring. It’s about time secondary cameras came in handy other than for taking self portraits as countries like India where 3G seems to be a bit of myth for most of the mobile users in the country, it’s not going to be used for video calling. Since Skype does support video calling it’s only right that the mobile version should allow for the same. Fring video is currently supported on Nokia touchscreen handsets like the X6, N97 Mini and its bigger counterpart the N97 as well as the 5800 Xpressmusic. Other Nokia handsets include the N95 (both editions) and the N82. You can download Fring from here. |
