One of the smartphone’s main capabilities is that it can dual boot Symbian and Windows 7 and secondly the LOOX F-07C will be the world’s first smartphone to be powered by an Intel ATOM processor clocking 1.2 GHz. The handset is a slider with a QWERTY keypad underneath and boasts of the following specifications:

  • 4-inch touchscreen with a resolution of 600 x 1024 pixels
  • 3G, Wi-Fi
  • Bluetooth
  • 5 megapixel main camera
  • 0.3 megapixel front facing camera
  • HDMI port
  • memory expandable to 32 GB

Apart from the dual booting Operating systems and the Intel chip, the rest of these specifications look pretty standard, with most other smartphones having similar features. Check out the video below giving a preview of the smartphone.

The F-07C can be bought for $860 (approx Rs. 38,700) which definitely looks quite high, but the handset has only been announced in Japan for now and should be hitting shelves globally sometime in July.
