Garmin Plans on Introducing Android Handsets

Everyone wants to jump on the Android bandwagon including Nuvifone manufacturers Garmin. The GPS handset makers have made it quite clear in their recent webcast that also talks about their current earnings and other upcoming products. While I found the G60’s OS to be extremely fluid but quirky, the most outstanding features in the Garmin handset was the mapping system. With the coming of Google Maps Navigation perhaps Garmin has decided to go a new route (pardon the pun) with Android-powered handsets that could give users the option of using the newer, less complicated Google Maps. Of course this is just speculation for now. The big question is will Garmin adopt the Google Maps Navigation way of life in an Android handset or stick to the system they already know they work with so well. We’ll have to wait and see, stay tuned. |
