A couple of days back, the Samsung Galaxy S got some Gingerbread love, thanks to a few guys at xda-developers. Unsurprisingly, they have also come out with Gingerbread for Motorola Droid and HTC Droid Incredible. Now we don’t have any in-depth details of what features stay unchanged and what features would stop working completely. Although from what we see at this link is the GPS and Camcorder put on the “Buglist” which doesn’t take rocket science to know that there might be some issues (or bugs) with the GPS and video recording. Check out Model Number and Android Version The video below shows the guy fiddling with Gingerbread on the HTC Droid Incredible, showing the vector Google maps which was working absolutely fine. If you somehow have a Droid or an Incredible, you can try downloading the ROMs from this site. Obviously, we won’t be responsible for any changes made to your phone. Word of advice, if you are trying it out, keep a backup of all important data so that you don’t end up losing it in the process. |
