Gingerbread, Froyo Updates for Samsung Galaxy S, 3 and 5 Underway

This March all eyes are on the Gingerbread as it braces to make an entry. A Facebook page update by Samsung Mobile Romania stating the inclusion of Gingerbread in the 19000 Galaxy S, post a prompt update (v2.2.1) has the tech world buzzing. Updates have gotten onto the I5500 Galaxy 5 and I5800 Galaxy 3 in the form of Froyo, as well.

A second major update to its OS, the first being the Eclair (v2.1 Eclair). The first minor update for the Samsung Galaxy S is set to come in by the 20th of this month. A quick update to v2.3 will follow close on the heels of the first update, by the end of this month. One can also expect Gingerbread on Nexus One, almost immediately.

So, enthusiasts and optimists can all watch out for this update that seemed quite unlikely at the outset.
