Gingerbread ROM for the Samsung Galaxy Ace Leaks

| by Ashish Koshy | Smartphones

The Galaxy Ace just came to India recently, in fact a month back, to be precise. Already touted as a promising handset to look out for, an update to Gingerbread might give you more reasons to buy one. It looks like the firmware upgrade is just about to hit the Galaxy Ace, although it’s not gone official yet.

Gingerbread goodness..

Gingerbread goodness..

There’s news that a Gingerbread ROM has been leaked and Samsung Galaxy Ace users can download the firmware upgrade as well. The ROM is the latest build of Android, viz. Gingerbread 2.3.3 which is evident from the picture itself.

For now, all Galaxy Ace users will have to wait for a while for the firmware to launch officially. Hopefully none of them face the same issue their Galaxy 3 compatriots are having with the FroYo update! In case you’re impatient to try out the Gingerbread upgrade, you can download it here.

If you’ve used any of Samsung’s flagships in the past, you’ll be right at home with the new S4. We quite liked the handset during our brief encounter with it a few weeks back and after using it for about a week, we have come to like it even more.
