Google is planning to release its new Ice Cream Sandwich Devices earlier than expected, according to BGR. It seems that the first few devices may launch this October and rumours are rife that Google’s haste in releasing these devices is due to Apple’s impending release for the iPhone 5.

Also, according to the site, the Samsung Nexus Prime might be the first Android device to operate on Android 4 i.e. the Ice Cream Sandwich platform and it will feature a ‘Super AMOLED HD’ screen running on a next-gen dual-core CPU at 1.2GHz or 1.5GHz. Additionally, it will have a 4G LTE radio, 1 GB of RAM, 1080p HD video capture and playback with the 5 MP rear camera and a 1 MP front-facing camera for self-shots and video calling.
Images of Google’s Ice Cream Sandwich have already been leaked and it seems that Google is planning to take the smartphone war with Apple to a whole new dimension. But with the apparent hurry in deploying their new platform, are they jeopardizing its success? Whatever the case may be, consumers might just have a range of devices to choose from this fall.
From the available information, who do you think among Google and Apple, will have the last laugh this year? |
