HTC Desire SV up for grabs online for Rs 21,799

Earlier this month, HTC announced a slew of devices and some of them run on the Android operating system while others are powered by the new Windows Phone 8 OS. One of the devices that had been announced was the HTC Desire SV and for those interested in purchasing this handset, it has been recently been listed on a number of online retailers with a starting price of Rs 21,799.

The HTC Desire SV is available on Saholic.com for Rs 21,799, and those who purchase it from this website will receive the smartphone in a single business day. Like other handsets listed on this website, the item has free shipping and it comes with a manufacturer’s warranty and a proper bill.

On Snapdeal, the HTC Desire SV is available for Rs 21,999 which is a bit more than Saholic and it too is available with free shipping. If one is interested in purchasing this handset, then there are various payment methods available such as cash on delivery, interest free EMI, debit card, credit card or via net banking.

As of yet, this handset is listed as a pre-order on Flipkart and they are selling it for the most at Rs 22,590. The estimated release date for this handset on Flipkart is the 5th week of November.

Earlier this month, HTC unveiled the dual-SIM HTC Desire SV at an event in Singapore. The highlighted attributes of this new Android smartphone are a dual-core processor, an 8-megapixel rear camera, a 4.3-inch screen, and exclusive Beats Audio.

HTC claims that a 1GHz dual-core processor helps in the speed of web browsing, watching videos, running apps, and downloading attachments. This smartphone comes with 768MB of RAM. The handset comes equipped with a 4.3-inch super LCD 2 screen that HTC claims will make images, videos, emails, and presentations look a lot more vivid. This dual-SIM smartphone comes loaded with productivity tools such as Office Suite, Microsoft Exchange push mail, and calendar support.

As far as software goes, the HTC Desire SV comes with loaded with Android v4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) with the HTC Sense UI. This handset can be upgraded to Android v4.1 (Jelly Bean) once HTC releases it for the handset.

HTC states that the dual-SIM design can strike a balance by keeping a user’s business world and personal world separate from each other. The brand claims that frequent travellers will benefit from using the HTC Desire SV, since having both a local and an international roaming SIM cards in a single phone means it’s easy to keep in touch with colleagues, friends and family without incurring significant roaming charges.

The HTC Desire SV features an 8 megapixel rear camera with an f/2.2 autofocus lens with LED flash that provides detail and accuracy. The Back Illuminated Sensor (BSI) sensor enhances in low light conditions. Uploading and sharing images is easy due to the two years of 25GB of Dropbox storage that comes with this device.

With exclusive Beats Audio, HTC Desire and the smartphone manufacturer claims that one can get good sound with powerful bass, more dynamics and improved clarity. HTC states that by pairing the phone with any Beats by Dr Dre headset, and accessing a customised sound profile a user can achieve better studio quality sound. HTC Sync Manager automatically syncs and manages the entire music collection.
