HTC Corporation has announced that the HTC Explorer, its most affordable smartphone will be the first Android device to offer full support for text input and display of Hindi and Tamil languages. HTC Explorer users will be able to view and compose content in Hindi and Tamil on any compatible Android application, and they will have access to Hindi and Tamil fonts on the virtual keyboards, too. This also means that they will be able to view Hindi and Tamil websites.
Now write in Hindi and Tamil
HTC is also working to expand support for other Indian languages on the HTC Explorer in 2012. We’ve reviewed the phone, and it’s a cute, but powerful device and it’s priced amongst the lower-end Androids in the market. With the addition of these languages and its overall performance, the Explorer surely becomes one of our recommended phones in the 10k region. |
