HTC Launches TyTN and MTeoR Smartphones

HTC, the popular OEM mobile handset maker for brands such as Imate, O2 and Qtek, has launched two new handsets - the clamshell TyTN and the candybar MTeoR. The phones, formerly known as Hermes and Breeze, will be sold under the HTC brand, phasing out it's own Qtek brand, now that it feels it has a better market presence. Both the TyTN and the MTeoR are 3G/W-CDMA based smartphones and run Microsoft Windows Mobile 5.0. The MTeoR is also UMTS capable. The TyTN and MTeoR should start shipping around July 2006. htc-mteor.jpg
