Huawei launches the MediaPad, the Sonic and the IDEOS X3

Huawei Devices have announced the launch of their cloud services for the Indian market along with their new MediaPad and two Cloud phones – the Huawei Sonic and the Huawei IDEOS X3. The Huawei Cloud+ service offers 16GB Cloud disk for storage, along with Huawei’s new Message+ - messaging application, to share texts, pictures, videos and voice notes. The Cloud+ comes with a slew of features. The first one is the Phone Finder feature to locate, back-up and lock your phone. Then, there’s the Cloud Gallery to view and share pictures, and also Huawei Streams for an integrated social phonebook. They’ve also got the Huawei App Store for Indian and global apps, Sync Data and Over the air solutions for OS upgrades.
The Huawei MediaPad
Huawei’s MediaPad is the world’s first 7-inch Android 3.2 Honeycomb tablet powered by Qualcomm’s dual-core 1.2GHz processor. It offers a 217 ppi IPS screen with a WXGA (1280X800 pixels) display, 1080P full HD playback and SRS enhancements. The MediaPad features a 1.3 megapixel front facing camera and a 5 megapixel auto focus rear facing camera with HD video recording capabilities. Connectivity options include HSPA+ 14.4Mbps and Wi-Fi 802.11n. The MediaPad has Flash 10.3 support, full HDMI output and comes with a 4100 mAh battery and is priced at Rs.28,359.
The Huawei Sonic runs on Android 2.3 Gingerbread and has a 3.5-inch HVGA display. It comes with multiple sensors – accelerometer, proximity, ambient light and compass and has noise cancellation recording with dual-microphones. It’s powered by a 600MHz processor and 256 MB of RAM. The Sonic Cloud phone, as they call it comes with a 1400 mAh battery, 512MB onboard storage and 20GB additional storage (4GB bundled micro SD card and 16GB cloud net drive). The Sonic is priced at Rs. 9,210.
The IDEOS X3
Huawei IDEOS X3, the other Cloud phone, also runs on Android 2.3 and features a dual camera (3.2 MP & VGA), 3.2-inch HVGA screen and 3.5G (7.2 Mbps) and Wi-Fi 11n for connectivity. There’s 512 MB onboard storage and 20GB additional storage. The X3 is priced at Rs.10,229.
All three devices come with a 3GB download for 3 months with Aircel and are available in multiple outlets across India.
