Acer has announced the launch of their new Liquidmini Ferrari Edition smartphone at the IFA 2011, according to GSM Arena. The Liquidmini will be running Google’s Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS. The Liquidmini will run on a 600MHz CPU and 512 MB of RAM (Acer’s website states 512 Mb). It will have a 3.2-inch HVGA multi touch capacitive screen and a 5 MP camera which is capable of recording at a resolution of 480p. That’s fast enough to record a live shot of a Ferrari parked in the pit lane probably. The inbuilt 512 MB of memory can be expanded up to 8GB via a microSD card slot. The smartphone will weigh 105grams and will be available with a Bluetooth headset. Acer's new Liquidmini
The first thing that comes to mind when talking about a Ferrari is speed; and the first thing that comes to mind when talking about a 600 MHz processor is SLOW, at least in the generation of dual-core 1GHz processors. Not the best phone for Ferrari to be associated with, eh? As far as the specs are concerned, that’s what we believe. Plus, with the Ferrari tag, don’t expect it to be cheap. What do you think of the new Acer Liquidmini? Let us know in the comments section below. |
