Increased battery life witnessed on One X after minor tweak

| by Aaron Almeida | Smartphones

The fact that the HTC One X is a gorgeous handset is simply undeniable. So far, this flagship model from HTC has been one of the highlights of 2012 as far as smartphones are concerned. We put it through rigorous tests in our review and it came out on top as well. However, the battery life of the handset seems to be an issue faced by most users of the One X. When we ran it through our draining battery tests, it managed a day’s usage which is by no means great but not that shoddy as well considering all the features that are thrown in the handset. However, if one still wants to achieve a better battery life, which of course would be practically everyone, the fine folks at XDA Developers have posted a fix which helps increase the longevity of the battery.

As per the report, one has to move the NvCPLSvc.apk, which a power control app from the system/bin folder to the system/app folder. To fix this issue, one would need to follow a few steps which can be found by clicking the link here.

For those who are in the dark about the One X, here is a look at its features:

  • Android 4.0 with HTC Sense 4
