Intex's new AQUA Wonder runs Jelly Bean, costs Rs 9,990

Intex Technologies today launched a new dual-SIM smartphone, the AQUA Wonder. The smartphone runs on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, is powered by a 1GHz dual-core processor and has 512MB of RAM. The device looks sleek, has an 8.9mm-thick waistline and weighs 125gm.

 

The AQUA Wonder comes with a 4.5-inch IPS touchscreen that has a resolution of 960 x 540 pixels. The phone has an 8 megapixel rear camera with dual-flash and a 1.3 megapixel front camera. The device gives you 1.93GB of storage space and supports microSD cards up to 32GB in size.

Connectivity features include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS. The phone is equipped with an ambient light sensor, an accelerometer, a compass and a proximity sensor. There's also a 1800mAH battery, which the company claims will give you talk time of 3.5 hours and standby time of up to 72 hours.

 

The handset comes with Jelly Bean's stock apps and features, such as face-unlock, live wallpapers, Google Maps, YouTube, and the Google Play store. Pre-installed apps include a file manager, WhatsApp, Facebook, Nimbuzz, Skype and Google+. The company bundles a 4GB microSD card, a phone pouch and a screen guard. The AQUA Wonder comes in two colours—black and white. Intex has priced the smartphone at Rs 9,990.

 

Commenting on the launch, Sanjay Kumar, General Manager – Mobile Business, Intex Technologies, said, “Our objective is to reach out to every market in the country and enhance the quality of lives of people by offering innovative gadgets. Understanding the current need, we entered into the smartphones category last year and so far have launched eight models. At the same time, our price range is so dynamic that consumers will have not to burn their pockets to buy new gadgets. Intex AQUA Wonder is the latest offering from our smartphone range and we are certain that it will become a popular gadget amongst the youth. Its striking features such as Hot spot, an IPS display, an 8 megapixel auto-focus camera with dual flash gives an user enhanced viewing and connectivity experience."
