After all that Android-porting to other phones, it looks like Apple’s iOS can work in perfect co-operation with Gingerbread. At least for now, they can easily be dual-booted on an iPhone 3G. A tweet from Nick Pack reads __STARTQUOTE__For those of you in doubt, this is Android Gingerbread on iPhone 3G, apologies for the crap video ;)__ENDQUOTE__ The video shows the boot screen having three options of iOS, Console and Android. Dual-booting the iOS with Android has been part of the iDroid project for some time now. Gingerbread on the iPhone 3G shows a hint of lagging, at least while browsing in between menus. In case you don’t find the Gingerbread OS port stable (or you just can’t stand the sight of Gingerbread on an iPhone) you can always switch to the iOS. Anyhow, it’s still nice to see an Apple device dancing around with an open sourced OS. via Engadget |
