Is LG Readying a Smartphone with a 720p Display?

Earlier today, we told you about Toshiba getting ready to announce 720p displays for mobile phones. The first fallout to that development seems to have already been found, in the form of LG preparing a device with a 1280x720 screen.  720p goodness on a phone?
Furthermore, folks at Phandroid seem to think that this could possibly be the next version of Google’s Nexus branded smartphones, something that Andy Rubin at I/O 2011 had said was incoming. While we certainly can’t comment on the likelihood of that, we definitely want to know more about this mystery phone, and soon. |
