Micromax launches Smarty A65 4.3 dual-SIM smartphone for Rs 4,999

Micromax has launched a new dual-SIM smartphone, dubbed the Smarty A65 4.3. The phone is available for Rs 4,999 online. Living up to its namesake, the device sports a 4.3-inch TFT screen with a resolution of 480 x 800 pixels, giving it a pixel density of 217 ppi.

Other highlights of the device include a 1GHz ARM Cortex-A5 processor and 2GB of RAM. The smartphone has 190MB of internal memory, which is expandable via microSD up to 32GB.

On the connectivity front, it features Wi-Fi and EDGE along with Bluetooth. It is powered by a 1350mAh battery with a claimed battery life of 5 hours of talktime on 2G and 205 hours on standby.

For imaging, the phone features a 2 megapixel fixed focus rear camera with a CMOS sensor, multi-shot mode, night vision, brightness level and image editor. It also has a 0.3 megapixel front facing camera. The smartphone runs on Android 2.3.5 Gingerbread.

 

The smartphone was available on Flipkart, but the website seems to have run out of stock.

Earlier this month, Micromax had launched the A116 Canvas HD smartphone. The A116 Canvas HD features a 5-inch IPS display and a 720p resolution. The smartphone is powered by a powerful MediaTek MT6589 1.2GHz quad core processor with 1GB RAM. It runs on the Android Jelly Bean 4.1 OS and comes equipped with a 2100mAh battery.

The smartphone comes with an 8MP rear camera with LED flash and multiple camera settings such as night mode and 4X zoom. This 3G-enabled phone supports microSD card up to 32GB. Promising superb graphics and HD viewing experience, Micromax targets youth who are always on the lookout for better, faster and savvier smartphones on the move.

Micromax’s previous popular flagship model, the A110 Canvas 2, came with a 5-inch FWVGA capacitive touchscreen with a resolution of 480 x 854 pixels. Equipped with a 2,000mAh Li-ion battery, it offered up to 5 hours of talk time and up to 180 hours of standby time. The device ran on Android 4.0.3 Ice Cream Sandwich.

The A116 Canvas HD is expected to be available for purchase starting the first week of February via all major retailers across the nation and all major online stores.

The company had launched the A90S Superfone Pixel back in November alongside the A110 Canvas 2. The A90S Superfone Pixel is a dual-SIM smartphone equipped with a 4.3-inch AMOLED 262K true-colour display with a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels. It is powered by a 1GHz dual core processor and runs on Android 4.0, Ice Cream Sandwich. The device has a 1,600mAh battery, which Micromax states will give you a talk time of up to five hours and a standby time up to 174 hours.
