Motorola shows off Droid Razr Maxx Red Carpet Edition

Motorola is known for leaving no stone unturned, when it comes to marketing or coining strategies for their smartphones. The phone maker has now added glitz and glamour to its special edition phone, which has been crafted, keeping in mind the Academy awards. Now that this is a special edition phone, probably no other name, other than ‘Red Carpet' would have suited it better. This new special edition Motorola smartphone, dubbed Red Carpet Droid Razr Maxx can be owned by fans through Twitter sweepstakes, while it will also make its way to select nominees and presenters at the event. The Academy awards fever is already spreading, we just saw some iOS apps, especially built for the Oscars.

It has a sleek design and comes embedded with a vibrant 4.3-inch display and promises prolonged battery life. The Droid Razr Maxx is equipped with an 8 megapixel camera with support for HD video recording, to turn their camera back on the paparazzi. The smartphone’s battery life is said to stretch up to 21 hours of talk time. Just as the name goes, the stylish phone adorns a red attire just to match the occasion.

On the other hand, Motorola plans to assist gentlemen with a smart, chiseled evening look and as the name of the device goes, what could be better than a high-end shaving kit. Moreover, the company adds the Motorola Elite Silver Bluetooth headset, which blends style and ultimate portability.

As aforesaid, besides high-profile celebrities, fans could also get lucky and take home this limited edition device. Five fans will get the chance to win the aptly named, Red Carpet Edition smartphone through Twitter sweepstakes that begins from February 23, 2012.
