In March YouTube had developed a native client for their services for Windows mobile and Symbian Series 60 devices. Unfortunately most service launched these days seem to forget that Nokia now has a series 60 Fifth edition OS for their 5800 XpressMusic touchscreen handset and the soon to be out N97. Of course there’s always a revised edition for the same that’s out later like in this case YouTube has launched an updated version of the application to suit Nokia’s touchscreen range of handsets. According to reports though, you won’t be able to utilize the handset’s display resolution as the video playback will be at a 320 x 240 pixel resolution. There are also a few other issues that have come up in the same report like playback speed problems and the keypad not coming up in some cases. Obviously there area few kinks to be worked out, and hopefully they will be with an update. |
