Nokia 808 PureView may launch in India on June 13

If you are one of the many who are eagerly anticipating the launch of the Nokia 808 PureView, then this bit of information may come as some good news to you. If a report by News Track India is to be believed, then the highly anticipated smartphone will arrive in India on the 13th of June 2012.

Launching in a couple of days

Over the last few days, there has been a lot of buzz surrounding the handset and mainly the talk was centered on the pricing of the handset. A few weeks ago an image surfaced of a source page showing the price of the handset as Rs. 29,999. However, Nokia later rubbished this by stating that they outsource certain chores, and for that we have to give price related information. So, in such cases, they furnished a dummy price, and not the actual (true) price. In this case also (the one mentioned in the source code), Rs 29,999 is a dummy price and the 808 Pureview will not be available for this price. That led many to wonder what the actual price of the device when launch would be sold at. A solid indication came in the form of an online retailer listing the price at Rs. 32,000. However, when we contacted Nokia regarding the launch date, they informed us that the price and the launch date are not yet revealed.
