RIM announces new BlackBerry Curve range - 9350, 9360, 9370

Today RIM officially announced the launch of the new range of BlackBerry Curve smartphones. The range consists of three handsets namely BlackBerry curve 9350, 9360 and 9370. These phones are aimed at those who want to enjoy BBM goodies at an affordable price.


As per GSMArena, all the three handsets will sport almost similar hardware cofiguration.The specification list includes - a 2.44-inch diplay, with a resolution of 480 x 360, an 800MHz processor, 512MB of RAM, 5 megapixel fixed-focus camera with LED flash and VGA video recording, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi 802.11n, A-GPS and NFC. All three phones will be running on the latest BlackBerry OS 7 and will be powered by a 1000mAh battery. All these features will come packed in an 11mm thick body.

The three phones differ with respect to network selection. The 9370 will have support for both GSM and CDMA networks. The 9350 and 9360 will support CDMA and GSM/UTMS networks respectively. The 9370 will have 1GB internal memory onboard, while the 9350 and 9360 will have 512 MB each.


There is no confirmation from RIM on the pricing and exact availability of these smartphones, but they're expected to hit shelves in Canada, this month. The worldwide shipment is expected to begin in September.
