Samsung Announces the CDMA Version of the Galaxy Pop

Just more than a week after Samsung launched the Galaxy Ace, Pop and Fit, CDMA users now have another Android handset as an option to use. Samsung has announced the Galaxy Pop CDMA. There’s nothing different between the two versions apart from carrier compatibility.

Although a CDMA smartphone, the Galaxy Pop will not be attached to any specific network. So you won’t be forced to go with only one network. The smartphone has an 800 MHz processor, runs on Android Froyo and has the following specs:

  • 3.14-inches Capacitive Touchscreen with 240 x 320 pixel resolution
  • Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, HSDPA, 7.2 Mbps, A-GPS
  • Bluetooth 2.1 with A2DP
  • 3.15 Megapixel Camera
  • Memory Expandable up to 32 GB
  • Stereo FM radio with RDS
  • 3.5 mm audio jack


The smartphone has all the Google applications like Gmail, YouTube and Google Maps pre-installed. And keeping specs aside, the Galaxy Pop is priced at Rs. 9,750 which is pretty less in comparison to the MRP of Rs. 11,198 quoted for the GSM version.
